An open specification (OpenAI and Stripe, 2025) for completing purchases inside AI chat surfaces: the merchant remains merchant of record, the agent platform carries the checkout conversation, and payment credentials travel as scoped, single-use tokens. The commercial logic is that the chat surface becomes a storefront; the governance logic — delegated tokens with narrow scope — rhymes with the mandate pattern everywhere else in this lexicon.
